Error search refers to when a user has one of three issues, they will be redirected to the page the product has specified. The three possible times a user can get this error search page are:

New Tab refers to the initial page when opening a new tab in a browser. If a user accepts an offer with the new tab option checked in, the user will change that initial page to the accepted offer. In the example, a user opened a browser and their selected new tab was loaded.

Homepage refers to the initial page when opening a browser. If a user accepts an offer with the homepage option checked in, the user will change that initial new tab page to the accepted offer. In the example, a user opened a browser and the new tab page is shown in red.

The default search engine is the browsers search function and what is used to find what a user is looking for. When an offer is accepted with default search options checked in, the user gets an enhanced search engine from the software they opted to install. A search engine can be the address bar or in a separate bar on its own, like the below example.
